Should I bring my Pet’s food?

We feed Pedigree kibble. You may bring your pets regular diet from home.

Please bring only the amount of food you think your pet will need.

It should be in an air tight container, labeled with your pet's name.

We do not have room to store large paper bags of dog food.

Can I bring my dog's bed and toys?

We provide bedding for every dog.

You may bring un-stuffed bedding if it is machine washable.

Foam or stuffed pillows or beds of any kind are NOT accepted.

Toys are ok as long as they are washable & large enough to not be washed down the drains.

We are not responsible for lost or destroyed toys and bedding.

What if my dog requires medication?

Medications that can be mixed in with food or that your dog will willingly eat will be administered at no additional charge.

All other medication including eye drops & ear treatments will incur an additional charge of $1.00 per dose.

Label all medications clearly. Include the name of the medication.

How do I find out what vaccinations my Pet has had?

Your Veterinarian should give you a receipt or certificate showing what vaccinations have been administered, the date they were given and the date they expire.

You may bring a copy with you or we will make a copy for you.

Required Shots: DHPP and Rabies.

Bordetella is strongly recommended, however, the kennel is not responsible for kennel cough since the vaccine only covers 3 of the known 24 strains of bordetella.

Read about the new vaccine protocols and discuss it with your vet prior to your visit.

What if my Pet does not have all vaccinations required?

If your pet needs vaccines they must be administered at least 2 weeks prior to arrival.

For the protection of all borders, we do not allow any pet to stay at SKYVIEW if vaccinations are not current.

We do honor the new vaccine recommendation: every 3 years.

There are no exceptions to the vaccine policy.

What if I arrive outside posted hours for check-in or out?

Our office hours provide for periods of quiet relaxation.

Inadequate "down time" can cause a variety of problems for our guests including nervousness, destructive behavior, poor appetite, diarrhea, excessive shedding, etc.

Rest times are a crucial part of maintaining a low stress atmosphere.

Since we are an owner operated 7-day a week operation, it allows us time for relaxation as well.

We appreciate your observance of our office policy.

For security, the gates are locked except during our open hours.

Requests for
special check-in or out times will only be honored with an appointment. There is a $25.00 fee in addition to regular boarding charges.

For your convenience, we are open for pick up and drop during the following hours:

Weekdays (except Wed.): 8-11 am & 4-6 pm

Wednesdays: 8-11 am

Saturdays: 8 am - noon

Sundays: 4-6 pm

Tours are always available during these hours as well.

This offers your pet a good environment to come into.

Rest assured if your dog requires it, we will give him lots of reassurance and extra hugs!

Consider bringing your dog in to board just for the day prior to his longer stay.

Other helpful tips:

During warmer months, all guests must be on a topical flea & tick prevention such as Frontline, and be on heartworm preventative.

If parasites are found, your pet will be bathed and dipped and the charge added to the boarding bill.

If the pet is extremely matted or dirty, it will be groomed and the charge added to the boarding bill.

We'll be happy to bathe or groom your dog before check out.
Be sure to request this service when you make your reservation.

Please label EVERYTHING with your pet's name.
